Terms of Use

1. Website Use

You may use this website to learn about Legitas, request a sample record, submit a scope inquiry, and contact Legitas about public-record research services.

2. No Legal Advice

Website content and Legitas source records are informational. They are not legal advice, legal opinions, lobbying materials, or advocacy positions.

3. Submissions

Do not submit confidential, privileged, sealed, or restricted information through public website forms. Scope inquiries should identify the public record, question, or proceeding without disclosing sensitive material.

4. Research Engagements

Submitting a form does not create an engagement, attorney-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or exclusivity. Any paid work requires separate scope confirmation.

5. Intellectual Property

The site design, copy, record formats, and related materials are owned by Legitas or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as permitted by law or a separate written agreement.

6. No Warranty

The website is provided as available. Legitas does not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free content, or that any source record will be complete, available, audible, or conclusive.
